Conceived and planned through modest beginnings, on December 29th 1992, the company has grown through leaps and bounds guided by a far sighted vision fuelling continuous evolutionary growth, due to the diligently innovative approaches of its principle promoters, Mr. Balvantsinh Rajput and Mr. Kanubhai Thakkar.
Today, the company is a national player to be reckoned with and a global market player with export commitments to the United States, the European Union, South East Asia and other countries.

Milestones of Growth
- On December 29th 1992, Gokul was incorporated as a Private Limited company through the aegis of its principle promoters, Mr Balwant Sinh Rajput and Mr Kanubhai Thakkar, stalwarts in their individual fields.
- In the year 1994 the company went public and was converted into a limited company achieving investor's confidence.
- In 1999 the company went on to set up a 200 TPD seed processing and solvent plant with a 200 TPD Refinery.
- The year 2000 and the beginning of a new millennium, blessed the company with a turnover of a 100 crores and within the next 2 years Gokul Refoils and Solvents Limited obtained the coveted ISO 9001 2000 certification for its Siddhpur plant.
- The ability to look beyond and a long term strategic planning enabled the company to set up refinery of 800 MT, a 100 MT Vanspati plant and a subsidiary in Mauritius by the year 2003.
- 2004 marked the establishment of the Corporate Headquarters in Ahmedabad with the company achieving a turnover over 500 Crores
- The next year, 2005 was a year of landmark achievements, the company touched the magic 1000 Crore turnover mark and Mr Thakkar received the ‘Edible Oil Man of the year’ award for achievements in the field.
- Global recognition Came in the form of a corporate award from the Malaysian Palm Oil promotion Council in the year 2005.
- Alternate energy sources were explored and initiated in 2006 by setting up 4 windmills of 1.25 ML each and a co-generation power plant of 500 KWH in Kutch.
- In the same year the Gandhidham plant obtained the ISO 9001 2000 Certification.
- After hitting a benchmark of 1500 Crores turnover in 2007 the Board took a decision and purchased an operational 100 TPD Refinery and expanded its capacity to 400 TPD.
- The year 2007 was a time of Global expansion with far reaching ramifications by setting up a wholly owned subsidiary in Singapore and setting up a 1500 TPD Soyabean processing unit.

To ensure a high level of quality and justify customer trustworthiness, GRSL is actively involved and directly monitoring the entire process of oil manufacturing. Through the humble beginnings of seed procurement and grading to processing and solvent extraction, each stage is painstakingly monitored at state of the art, ultra-modern facilities.
Design format, packaging, trading and customer friendly marketing complement the ensemble, thus doubly ensuring reliability and client satisfaction.
The company and its myriad employees have a deeply abiding concern for the environment and are constantly fine tuning ergonomically viable innovations in the overall process. |

| Branching out in fields of Responsible Innovation |

| To continue its ongoing endeavour in fostering growth and branching out in other related fields, the company has also set up its own captive power generation plant at Gandhidham in Kutch. Meanwhile, active research is also being conducted and alternative methods of power generation are also being explored through wind generated power in the form of windmills. |
